18th SOS Scorpion Tie
$20.00The 18th SOS “DaNang Scorpion” formal tie is 100% polyester, created by K. Alexander. It is black with embroidered DaNang Scorpion logo in red. Fit for any formal outing.
The original logo was painted by Sgt. Tom Graham. An account given by Sgt. Graham says the logo was first on the flight line which was requested by Doug Metcalf or the first sergeant. This was done late 1970 or early 1971. After a month, he was requested to paint a second logo at the “OPS’ building on “Gunfighter Row.” This was requested by the Squadron Commander.
